Advanced Perception and Movement
For Bobath Trained Therapists


This course will address the relationship between perception to movement in children with cerebral palsy.

Who is the course for?
The course is suitable for Bobath trained paediatric occupational therapists,  physiotherapists and speech and language therapists.

Aim:
To identify and address perceptual difficulties which interfere with movement in children with cerebral palsy.

Objectives:
By the end of the course participants should be able to:

• demonstrate in-depth knowledge of sensory and perceptual development.

. identify specific perceptual problems which could primarily interfere with functional performance in children with cerebral palsy.

. address perceptual problems through handling and creating a therapeutic environment

.demonstrate efficient treatment planning ability to evaluate main problems in short and long term.

How will the course be taught?
The course adopts a problem solving learning approach through video presentation, analysis, demonstrations and creative practical sessions.
